Job Purpose
The Automotive Technician – Mechanical is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) through high-quality preventive and corrective maintenance. The role plays a critical part in maintaining operational continuity, minimizing equipment downtime, and upholding the company’s safety and compliance standards. This position requires strong diagnostic capabilities, hands-on technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining equipment performance in a fast-paced aviation support environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, Maltese, or both.
Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Proficiency in mechanical repairs and maintenance of industrial, heavy, or automotive vehicles.
Competence in fault diagnostics using modern diagnostic tools and software.
Experience in specialized areas—such as engine overhauls, after-treatment systems, hydraulic systems, or pneumatic systems—is considered a significant advantage.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or vehicle repair.
Knowledge of industrial vehicles, heavy-duty equipment, or automotive systems.
An MCAST qualification or equivalent technical certification is considered an asset.
