Job Purpose: The Ramp Coach Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient 

transportation of passengers, crew, and staff between the airport terminal and aircraft 

stands. Operating within a dynamic and regulated airside environment, the Coach Driver 

ensures strict adherence to safety procedures, driving regulations, and airport protocols. This 

role requires a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and awareness, with a focus on 

delivering a seamless and secure transfer experience while maintaining excellent 

communication with operations teams and ramp personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct a comprehensive pre-trip inspection of the coach prior to the 

commencement of each shift, ensuring all safety-critical systems, including 

brakes, tires, lights, and communication devices, are fully operational.

2. Safely and efficiently transport passengers between aircraft, gates, and other 

designated airport locations in accordance with operational schedules.

3. Deliver courteous, professional, and friendly service to all passengers, upholding 

the company’s commitment to customer care.

4. Perform post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any mechanical issues, 

damages, or safety concerns to the relevant personnel for immediate action.

5. Adhere strictly to company policies, airside safety protocols, and airport security 

regulations at all times.

6. Coordinate effectively with the Coach Coordinator, Turnaround Coordinator, and 

Gate Agents to ensure seamless and timely passenger transfers.

7. During boarding from the gates, be present at the gate area to direct passengers 

to the appropriate coach in an orderly and safe manner.

8. When operating at aircraft parking stands, be positioned on the stand to guide 

passengers to and from the aircraft safely and efficiently.

9. Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall presentation of the vehicle 

throughout the shift.

10. Operate radios or other communication devices to receive and relay real-time 

updates and operational instructions.

Working Conditions: The Ramp Coach Driver will work on a shift pattern of six days on and 

four days off. Overtime may be required based on operational needs. Duties are primarily 

performed on the airport ramp, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions.
